I have been serious about photography ever since my freshman year of college in 2004. After taking the introductory darkroom photography course, I was hooked, and soon after received my first Digital SLR camera, a Canon Digital Rebel, for Christmas in 2004. I quickly learned that my photographic interests lie dominantly in portraiture, and I have never looked back. While I photograph every subject possible, from skyscapes to animals, my passion will always be photographing people, attempting to capture their essence in a visual image.

Moving Again

Hi all,

So, although I said I'd be shooting more on my own in the next few weeks, turns out I'm moving again, this time really close to the UH campus so *ArchAngelGabe can get to school easier. It's also a pet-friendly building, so the soon-to-be-mine puppy will be welcomed there. But, of course, as an artist, I have a lot of art stuff that needs to be packed up and moved - so much, in fact, that we've actually had to rent a storage unit to put all the non-necessary-to-live things while we organize in the new place, which is smaller. Fun times.

I am doing some actual jobs now though. Shooting a wedding reception this Friday night, and another wedding the Saturday after that. A local camera shop is now working with a tech company to offer camera rentals, so I've got me the sweet 85mm 1.2L to play with for a few days as of tomorrow! $50 for three days, not bad for here, considering it's an $1800 lens.

Okay, back to packing...
