Lava Flow By Moonlight by DallasNagata Lava Flow By Moonlight by DallasNagata
The shot I had actually wanted to get during the same hike we shot Lava Kiss:

Once the skies cleared, I set up to do long exposures. The hardest thing was how bright the lava would get, as my lens has some particles between the elements and is prone to flaring. This was one of the few mostly clean-of-flares shots I got!

Thanks! And I guess it'd actually be ...genesis-earthly? ;) (Or some more clever creation-of-earth phrase here...)

Such a beautiful photo... :tears: ..and I'm good. :D By the way, am I the only one thinking that this might be what the Earth used to look like? Maybe I just watch to much Discovery channel. lol

Thanks! I think that too...it was really interesting hiking over older flows on the way there and seeing how the plants slowly start growing between the rocks.
